Roof Leak Repair in Corona, CA

Corona leaks usually come from worn underlayment under tile in the 1980s and 1990s tracts, or from failed pipe boots and lifted shingles on older homes.

What We See in Corona

We trace the water back to the source and fix it. If a storm is on the way, we tarp it the same day.

  • Same day visits for active leaks when we can
  • Water traced from the stain back to the source
  • Temporary tarp when weather is coming
  • Permanent fix at the cause, not a caulk patch
  • Attic check for wet insulation and wood

Where Leaks Really Come From

On tile roofs the usual cause is underlayment that has dried out under the tile, or a cracked tile that lets the sun bake the paper below. On shingle roofs it is often lifted shingles after a wind event or a split rubber boot around a plumbing vent. Flat roofs leak at seams and where water ponds.

Valleys, chimneys, skylights and the joint where a second story wall meets a lower roof are the spots we check first. Those are where water collects and where flashing does the most work.

What to Do Before We Get There

Put a bucket under the drip and move anything you care about. If the ceiling is bulging, a small hole at the low point lets the water drain into the bucket instead of bringing the drywall down. Turn off lights or fans near the wet spot. Then call (951) 855-9916.
